Essex Fall Soccer
This six-week recreation soccer league is for children entering kindergarten-6th grade for the 2023-2024 school year.
Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade teams are co-ed.
Practices for grades 1-6 begin the week of September 4th.

Registration ends Monday, July 31 at 4 pm. Please call the office at 878-1342 to see if we have space to enroll your child on a team after this time.

This league is run by volunteers; parental involvement is essential to the success of this program!
Coaching Clinics:
Soccer Coaching Clinic geared toward the recreational soccer coach. We will go over skills, drills, rules & game situations for all different age levels.
Saturday, Aug 12th
8am-9am = Coaching K-2nd Grade
10 am-11 am = Coaching 3rd-6th Grade
Monday, Aug 14th
5:30pm-6:30pm = Coaching K-2nd Grade
6:30 pm-7:30 pm = Coaching 3rd-6th Grade
Suggested Practice Schedules:
*Kindergarten meets on Saturdays (only) for a 40-minute practice followed by a 20-minute game.
*1st-grade soccer is co-ed and has one practice and one Saturday game per week. Suggested practice nights are Mondays and Wednesdays, but your team's night will depend on your coach's schedule. We will not switch your player's team due to practice night conflict.
*2nd-grade soccer is co-ed and has one practice and one Saturday game per week. Suggested practice nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, but your team's night will depend on your coach's schedule. We will not switch your player's team due to practice night conflict.
*Boys 3/4 Soccer has one practice and one Saturday game per week. Suggested practice nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays, but your team's night will depend on your coach's schedule. We will not switch your player's team due to practice night conflict.
*Girls 3/4 Soccer has one practice and one Saturday game per week. Suggested practice nights are Mondays and Wednesdays, but your team's night will depend on your coach's schedule. We will not switch your player's team due to practice night conflict.

Teams:
One of our favorite parts of Fall Soccer is seeing all our friends on the soccer fields, AND making new friends. Although friends in the same grade may practice on different days and times, they all play games on Saturdays at the same time!
It is also important to us to create teams as evenly as possible. We use the questions asked at registration to evenly balance players of varying abilities amongst the teams in their age groups.
We also recognize that we have many friends, especially our Kindergartners that are trying our program for the first time. To help with this, teams are created based on school as well for our younger age groups.
Intro to Youth Soccer Refereeing:
This is an intro to refereeing. We will be going over the basic rules of soccer for recreational youth soccer games. We will also go over how to work with coaches or parents on the sideline. This clinic is for both returning & new refs interested in working with the Essex Youth Soccer program ages 13 years old and older. This is NOT a certification course.
