Youth Fishing Derby

• Ages 6-12
• Judging will be done by the weight of the fish.
• We will be judging 6 species:

1. Rainbow Trout
2. Brown Trout
3. Brook Trout
4. Small Mouth Bass
5. Bluegill
6. Pumpkin Seed

• The angler with the heaviest fish in each species category will win a prize. 6 total prizes will be awarded.

Rules:

• Catch and release only
• No live bait other than worms
• No lures
• Anglers must cast and reel in their own catch. Adults can help with baiting hooks and bobbers.
• Anglers must fish from shore. No boats

Supplies:

• Anglers must bring a bucket or cooler to transport fish from site to weigh station and back to water.
• Anglers must provide their own pole/hook
• Anglers may bring their own worms
• EPR will provide a fishing “kit” made up of a bobber, 2 plastic worms of varying size, and split shot weights, and fishing sheet guide.
• EPR will have a few extra buckets on hand if needed
